I admit it, I have a small action figure collection. Now, I don't collect them for their monetary value or anything, I rip open the packaging and put them on display right away. None of this keeping them mint-on-card for years in the closet hoping they appreciate and buy me a hot tub one day. I get the ones that mean something to me (ie, things I was a fan of as a child or now etc), and usually am pretty selective when it comes to getting them. I'll usually only get stuff that's designed and painted well. So share your collections here, serious and casual (a la myself) collectors welcome.
Currently I've got
Army of Darkness 'Ash' figure by McFarlane. First thing I ever got, because Bruce Campbell is my hero. I lost the 'mini-evil-ash' armed with a fork that came with him a long time ago, but he still looks bad-ass.
Kill Bill 'The Bride' ice-base variant figure by NECA. Uma. Yellow Jumpsuit. Hanzo Sowrd. Blood. 'Nuff Said.
Ghost In The Shell 'Motoka Kusanagi' 12" AD Variant #1. Rockin' interpretation that came out long before Stand Alone Complex (but looks similar to that style). I later found out that this figure is anatomically correct. Completely. Weird Japanese people.
Marvel Legends 'Deadpool' figure by Toybiz. Seriously awesome figure of the funniest marvel comics character ever. Ultra poseable and has this cool backpack that holds 2 katanas and 2 Ak-47's across his back, as well as sai's and a .45. Plus grenade vest. Awesome.
X-Men 2 'Nightcrawler' figure by Toybiz. Nightcrawler was always one of my favourites and I was so well impressed by the movie version of him; freaky facial tattoos, awesome jacket and circus pants. The figure is waaay poseable, at least 32 points of articulation (massive for a 6-inch scale figure), plus a bendable-rigid tail. He even stays up standing on his head if you want.
Nosferatu 'Graf Orlock' 12" figure by Sideshow. When I saw this, I HAD to have it. Nosferatu is one of my favourite movies ever and this I just had to have. It's done in gray-scale as atribute to the film, though I think they did do a full colour version as well. Only disappointment is that he looks a bit 'young'. He has sort of a muscular action man physique underneath the jacket, but it's changed by padding in the coat that makes him look like he has the trademark hunchback.
Living Dead Dolls 'Nosferatu + Victim' figures. Living dead dolls are pretty sweet, and my girlfriend's sister has a massive collection. I only have these two, and I got them because they were a cute take on the Nosferatu characters. Good quality though.
Ghost In The Shell 'Motoko Kusanagi' figure by McFarlane. Not very poseable at all, she's in sort of a regenerative position above a green pool of liquid with wires comign out of her going everywhere but it looks fantastic.
Danger Girl 'Natalia Kassle' figure by McFarlane. Danger Girl was an awesome comic book. Shame J. Scott Campbell has such a short attention span and it only made 7 issues in three years. It was long enough for a video came and figure series to come out though. By all accounts the video game sucked, but the figures are by McFarlane so you know they're good. The other three (Sydney Savage, Abbey Chase, Major Maxim) are in the mail.
Army Of Darkness 'Mez-Its' by Mezco. These are awesome. Little 2 inch cartoon style version of Ash, Evil Ash and the Swamp Hag. Hilarious looking.
