I would love to apply, as I can do this job easy. But, I know that I wont get it, so there is no point.

Huh, encouraging, isn't it.

In-House IT support.... I can do that. ;) The 19 day month with 5 RDOs thing throws me though. Can I ask a dumb question and ask what that means?

Simple.

A working month is 19 business days, with one Rostered Day Off per month. You can acrue the RDOs if you like instead of taking them monthly but the max limit is five you can save up for a rainy day :)

Ok?

Are there any courses that you guys would recommend to prepare someone to get a job like that?
That's the kind of job I'd like to have when my bo goes to school, but I don't know how to get there.

Well I guess it all depends on what particular OS/software you are most comfortable with ie proficient...

What would you like to focus on?

I know my way around a few versions of windows and I'm half decent with hardware )my fav) but I don't belive myself good enough to walk into a job. I'd like to build my talents in those areas. I'd be very happy to get more experience in networks and such as well.

OK.....
You go about it a couple of ways. You can either take the TAFE route, applying for the applicable courses that interest you

or

Or you can try some basic certifications such as A++, then working your way up to other certs such as MS, Cisco, Novell, etc.

Dont do the TAFE thing. I have a Diploma in Network Engineering and it is fucking useless.

^^ Agreed... but I used the courses I completed to springboard into other roles. I don't see TAFE as the ultimate tertiary education but it appeals to other ppl nonetheless.

hmmmm....

I am probably overqualified for this, but anything that gets me off bloody nightshift is worth a go. Too late to apply yet?

And do they have carparking facilities?
