Gday peoplez....
i was just thinking about this beautiful gormet* (*is that how u spell it?) burger i used to order when i used to work @ westpoint shopping centre in blacktown. The store in the old food court has closed down long ago since the shopping centre has been renovated/expanded lalala... anyways about the burger-
If my memory servez me correctly....
the ingredients included:
* 1 crusty hard bun with the sesames on top
* mashed up avacado (or guacamole... whatever rocks your boat)
* sundried tomatos
* 1 ball of mince beef (not sure how much meat exactly... larger than a golf ball anyhoo)
* sliced beetroot (i think? i ate it with and without without the beetz - whatever you want)
* 1 egg (i think it had egg? if you dont like it then leave it out)
* chopped up lettuce and cucumber.
* (onions if you wish...or not... oh well why not experiment!?! put in whatever you like... but this was how my beloved burger was when i bought it. there wasnt any cheese in this either, but once again... do what you want)
but if you wanna make it exactly the way i loved it the most, just use the avacado, mince, sundried tomato, cucumber, lettuce.
(also note that i didnt add any sauce!?? this burger was wierd like that... tasted so good with the avacado that it didnt need any!?
- Basically what you do is cut the bun in 2, thickly smear the avacado on the lower half as if it were jam or butter.
- on a bbq grill, flatten the ball of mince beef until its about the diameter roughly the size of a cd... so it should be pretty damn thin.
- while the meat is cooking, toast the inside of the top half of the bun on the grill
- stack in the lettuce and cucumber and sundried tomato on top of the avacado or any of the other veges you want 2 add in.
- once the meat is cooked, stack it in on top of the veges
- put the sundried tomatos , onions on top of the meat
place the top of the bun on top and thats it!
no idea of the fat content coz i never added butter in there... or salt or pepper... looked healthy (not sure bout the oil in the sundried tomato being healthy) but overall it was better than a bigmac... bigger than a bigmac anyhoo...
enjoy it!
