ALIAS, Channel Seven's espionage drama starring Jennifer Garner as a sexy, globe-trotting secret agent, will end its prime-time run in May in the US after five seasons on the air, the network said today.

No reason was given for bringing the series to a close, but the show has declined sharply in the ratings since moving to a tougher time slot on Thursdays this season opposite the reality hit Survivor: Guatemala.

Meh, this season is crap. I only really got into Alias last season - borrowed all the DVDs from a friend and loved them, but what I've seen of this season has been shite.

I heard Jennifer Garner couldn't handle working with Michael Vartan (her ex who plays Vaughn) on the basis of them having had a previous relationship, or some such shit and she had him written out. Only a rumour, but god damn that's petty.
