Recently I have been thinking about joining the Army, in particular Operator Command Support Systems (ECN256) (http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/careers_explorer/Army347.html)

Two main motivations for this being A) Im really, really broke :), and b), im not entirely confident that when I escape from tafe next year with my diplomas that it will really get me anywhere in the big scary IT world.

From googling people seem to praise both the army and specifically ECN256.

The whole minimum 6 year bit does put me off a bit though..

Anyone have some thoughts or advice ?

Do I take the red or blue pill? :bananasex

You should study to be an aircraft mechanic - heaps of jobs and money - either that or sell your anus to homeless gay guys for rim jobs

**Edit**

Sorry retract that statement - didn't realise that this was in the serious stuff forum - serious stuff scares me

Carry on

Yes do what he said.
Make sure you choose the right path of aircraft technician, and steer clear of avionics or you will be labelled a homosexual for the rest of your life.

Hey I think I like this one even better. Sounds a bit more friendly, *and* less minimum service time.

Cheers! =) :grouphug:
