i like 2x13, i mean its a transition episode, at least its a bit of a quieter episode that actually has alot happening, like a needed one to set up the season.
Which is what i love with the show, they dont have boring pointless episodes to pad out the season, like some other well known sci-fi series do.

Boltar though, anyone else understand this character?

i liked baltar's character up until 2x13. He is strange, the galactica enigma and it is hard to understand his motives (apart from making sure he comes out on top).

He also throws a bit of humour into the show.

But i don't like the idea that baltar keeps falling for No. 6 and will do anything for her...
I don't like the new idea of the extremist "make peace with the cyclons group" and the nuclear bomb...
i didn't like how the cylon/human hybrid foetus saved the president in just under 48 hours... she should have died, or they should have drawn the recovery out a bit longer... it seemed rushed...
and also how she now remembers something about seeing baltar with no.6 back on capricorn before the invasion... a bit suss i think...

but i will wait and see...

but i am curious to see how the fleet fairs now with two battlestars (will they keep running, or will they turn and fight)...

i was thinking when they brought the stealth shit in and pegasus, the same thing with both, they wont last. whenever they have things like these, they'll serve a purpose then be destroyed. it is a sci-fi cliche, like in stargate, ever time they get a cool piece of technology, like a mothership, it ends up being destroyed. in BSG, happened with stealth ship... will it happen with pegasus??? the nuclear bomb??? I really hope not though.

Hopefully they'll use the battlestars to bring the right back to the cylons, or so they can launch attacks while keeping one with the fleet.

i though Baltar might have had a revalation when the other no.6 wasnt the same as the one he loved... not the case though..
Personally he's gotta be cylon or under their control, seeing the no.6 in his mind who does give him information that he couldnt think up in his subconscious.. also we saw him get hit by the explosion in the pilot, then next thing he's trying to get on a shuttle.

one thing though, the show would loose some of the interest if he ever gets caught out.

Overall, a damned decent episode and much better than the slowly degenerating writing going into the scripts for Lost. I liked what they did with "Caprica" Six, giving her visions of Baltar. Really nice touch. My only disappointment is that we didn't get to see even a glimpse of a vintage model Cylon (as per the original series). They showed one briefly in the Galactica museum in the pilot, and Six made a reference to them in her disclosure to Baltar that she was a Cylon agent, saying those models are still around - they still have their uses.

Episode 19, which is the first half of the two-part season finale, has raised a number of interesting scenarios. It will be interesting to see which manage to play themselves out in the second part (which will be a 90 minute episode, BTW), and which will leave us hanging until season 3 starts this summer.

In Lay Down Your Burdens (part 1), the colonists are torn between stopping their journey and settling down on a newly-discovered habitable planet, or continuing to follow the preaching of President Roslyn and the quest for Earth.

Will Baltar succeed in his bid for the Presidency? And if he loses, what then, as this electoral race makes his dark side emerge. Is Tyrol a Cylon, as his dreams are leading him to speculate? Remember, we haven't seen all the models.

Will Starbuck and the return mission to Caprica encounter Baltar's resurrected Six and the assassinated Boomer?

And what of that nuclear device Baltar gave to Pegasus Six, who is now hiding somewhere in the fleet? We haven't heard anything of her for a few episodes.

No matter what way you look at it, next week is going to be one helluva season ender.

Last night's ep was great. I liked the insight into Cylon relations (very Halo 2).

Actually no. The hybrid, like the fighters and centurions, are distinct categories of cylon and not counted among the final 5. Six clearly makes that distinction in her talk with Baltar.

Apart from the mystery surrounding the final 5, I'm interested in finding out how the "organic" cylons came into being. I mean, based on what little tidbits the writers have revealed about the cylons (going all the way back to the two part pilot movie), they were created by humans as robot slaves, became self aware, and rebelled. So somewhere in their past, after the first war which was mentioned in the pilot, the robots (it would seem) created the organic models. I'd like to see them flesh this out a bit more - pardon the pun.

I'd also like to see, if only briefly, an original cylon model. If you recall from the pilot, at the very beginning when the colonial emissary sat down at his desk at the space station (just before he got visited by Six and then nuked), he was looking over schematics for the original cylon model. Remember, humans hadn't seen cylons in the better part of a century, and the last time they did see them they looked like the old "By Your Command" ones from the old Lorne Greene series. Later in that same pilot, Baltar, upon learning that Six is a Cylon, refers to the old centurion models and Six tells him they are still around - they still have their uses. Plus, in the pilot, during a walkthrough of the Galactica as it was being turned into a space museum, we saw a display dedicated to the first war and a couple of display cases - one showing a large model of a Cylon base ship straight out of the old TV series, and a vintage Cylon. So this show has already established links.

I also seem to recall reading somewhere, probably in an interview with the producers, that this season we will get to see the Cylon homeworld.

Now, if this homeworld exists, why the hell would they be interested in making Earth their new home?

All this Battlestar galactica is starting to get a bit old for me. I don't care about the Cylons I want to know about the humans. Its getting boring because the Cylons seem too invulnerable and its harder to relate to the humans.

I love Battlestar, but there has been a couple of episodes this season that have shit me to tears. The boxing match, the Chief and Callie. Even during the Eye of Jupiter episodes, I kept skipping through the Starbuck / Lee scenes. Bring back some Cylon action FFS.

* The fleet realizes the Cylons are somehow following it to Earth.

* Tigh talks to Six about it, but their conversation (thanks to Six’s Inner Gaius) turns into a fistfight.

* Anastasia Dualla leaves Lee Adama over Lee’s defense of Baltar.

* Apparently a cult has risen in the fleet identifying Baltar as a prophet of some kind.

* Baltar is not prosecuted for his role in the destruction of the 12 colonies due to lack of hard evidence. He will be tried only for his New Caprica actions.

* Kara’s widower is now training beside Seelix as a pilot.

* The fate of Ellen Tigh comes up in Baltar’s trial.

* Lee and Bill Adama each ask the other to excuse themselves from their roles in Baltar’s trial. The argument escalates until Lee quits the colonial military!

* Lee too is back in uniform and notices an unidentified craft on the DRADIS. When he investigates, he finds Kara in her viper. She says she’s been to Earth and can show them the way.

The res is a bit crappy but the stream is good, for anyone who is interested or who hasn't seen this most awesome of sci-fi's. Shows this good restore my faith in humanity, they really do.
