Hi Guys,

We've finally pulled the covers off a new travel meta-search engine I've been building the last 9 months and I'd really appreciate some candid feedback.

Asia's travel search engine ----> Bezurk.com (http://www.bezurk.com)

The ajax/javascript is still in the middle of a crash diet, so load times aren't brilliant BUT we are being hosted out of singapore so some of the delays are to be expected. Once we get some cash rolling in I'll look at having front-ends hosted in each country to improve that.

We've tested as many browser/OS combos that we could, and we have issues with some non-MS operating systems, but with AJAX those kinds of problems can be expected. I'm a mac guy myself and we've only just got that working, I'd love to hear how you linux guys go.

Thanks for ya feedback in advance.

cheers,

~evil

Man that thing sucks monkey balls. I'd track down the developers and have them brutally murdered for that one.

Looks pretty good evil. As you said, the loading times are a little frustrating if you want almost instant results. Apart from that it looks pretty nice, good layout and easy to work with. Nice Work.

I think you mean the graphics designers ;-) I'm sure the look and feel will evolve, and the choice of "skins" for those of us with the dislike of the bright colours.

And thanks Nuisance for taking the time to look. Did you notice how when you do a search the results get pushed out to the browser as they become available? You can do real time search on the results by clicking on price, star rating, amenity (i.e. pool, golf, etc), website, etc. I'm interested to know how long everything took to download. We're pumping out upto a couple of megs of XML search results on some of the cities where we have prices for over 400 different hotels. It's not compressed at the moment, but we'll be turning that on in the next week once we've finished QA-ing it.

Not too shabby at all i'll start recommending it at work when someones after a travel search engine. The brightness is the only real gripe I'd have. Nicely done

Seems pretty good. The eye-bleed-orange would probably get on my nerves, and the loading is slow. Once performance issues are sorted it looks like a nice travel portal.

How are you integrating with the hotels availability/price checks? Is there a standardised service available or???

It only lets me look at hotels. Is the rest still coming?
that was with firefox & win xp pro.

Hey mate,

We're scanning external websites and uniting the results (which with fuzzy matching ain't fun). Witch doctor stuff ;)

Thanks heaps for looking. most appreciated.

cheers
