Geist managed to catch my eye a long time before it hit the shelves. Its a shooter game with a nice twist. You play a guy who soul has been ripped from his body. Instead of picking up weapons, you can now pick up bodies. You can warp in and out of bodies at will and even posses different objects like barrels that explode and grenades that roll across the floor.
A German made game, this off beat shooter requires you to solves puzzles and find different ways of getting through level rather than basing all the game on action and carnage.

The graphics in this game are kick ass. There are little animated sequences, as you posses hosts, that look really great. The textures in the game are also quite details and not blurry or indistinct.
The cut scenes are great to watch, with much detail paid to the surrounding environments.

Sound effects in the game are good, while the music is errie and keeps the mood going.
No major voice talents here, but the voice acting doesn't sound cheesy or stupid.

Multiplayer is awesome, as the programmers of Geist have actually included the options that I've always wanted in these types of games....BOTS!!
You can play against eight other players in multiplayer, with the option of including bots and even assigning teams. Many different level to unlock here as well through the campaign game.
There are three distinct types of multiplayer games, each unique to Geist's gameplay. For example, instead of the usual "Capture the Flag" game, they have "Capture the Body" game, where you score points by taking a specific body to the score Zone. More points are rewarded by killing others before dispossesing them in the scoring zone.

In multiplayer gaming, the game stands out on its own. Its great to play against others and offers a unique experience here.
In campaign however, the game is let down a little. You never can shake the feeling that you're running through a massive tutorial as the game will always give you massive hints on how to solve specific problems.
Not once throughout the game did I get stuck or have any trouble with a specific area, beside the last guy. Oh, and a word of warning with the final guy, prepare for a headache as the colors and movement here will cause you to throw up if you watch it for long enough.
Still, the game and the storyline were enjoyable and that is what really counts.

The biggest problem I had with this game, is that it was too damn tame. For example, there is a level where you float into a women's shower room and have to scare one of them in order to posses their body. Now, I couldn't really see anything because both these fine ladies were covered through the fog of the showers. Once I had scared them, I was forced to sit still while they ran away, I couldn't pursue them or catch an eyeful.
Then, once I had possessed a girl, I couldn't even do anything with her!! I had tonnes of mirrors and a skimpy little towel around myself, but could remove it however hard I tried, or what button combination I pressed! I even looked online to see if maybe someone had already found one out, and found out there wasn't anything one could do here!! What a waste!
I know this game is a German effort. Now, how could the Germans, not think of including a few easter eggs around the place to tickle ones desires? How often can a game legitimately go into a women shower room? Now we have such a situation here, and what do they do with it?!! Nothing!! Bah!
Anyway, aside from that, the gameplay is fine. Its easy to pick up and keeps you entertained in a very non-sexual, tame, way.

Good game, lots of fun here. Lot of wasted potential here also. Could have been something fantastic, but I guess they didn't want the game to get any undue attention by the censors.
Is it worth getting? If you're into shooters, then this game is a must as it puts a distinct slant on the usual 1st person shooter genre.
