It's our generation's Old Yeller.
It's almost manly, nay is, very fuckin' manly to have cried when goose bought it.
(Maybe if you were 14 when you saw it).
Also very manly in a feminist way for girls to have done so.
What other pivotal moments in film have made you have a ball scratching, BBQ cooking tear up?.....Glitter doesn't count - it was just bad.

I can't believe that this is about such an assinine, pustulent waste of celluloid like that! I wish they had all got nuked at the start and then I could have had the preference of watching either bright light or crappy adverts for the next 90 minutes.

Anyone seen The Big Blue.
That movie make me tear up for some godamn reason. I guess I just cant stand the thought of Jean Reno dying or something. Its pathetic. Usually afterwards, I have to go kill something and gut it, just to feel like a man again.

"Big Blue" made me cry, boy howdy!
I cried when that kid's horse (Atriu?) got sucked into the mud in NeverEnding story. I still can't watch that bit in the film. :p
"Amelie" made me cry but in a good way... don't know why. I think it's just a really well made film.

I mentioned to my housemate during Top Gun last night that the movie was some big homo-erotic thing. Then we sat there and watched it in that light. It's awesome funny if you do.
Scene where tower-sergeant is going off at Jester about the fly-by "I want some butts!"
Oh, trez funny!

I went to 'Centrestage' with my girlfriend years ago and have never cried so much... I still get shivers thinking about how utterly crap it was.
'8 Seconds' is sad at the very end.
I think there was a thread for it, or something.

In Australia we had Leon (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110413/) but it was called The Professional. It made me cry.
I can admit I cried when Goose died the first time... And yeah I realise he only died once in the movie ;) The sad sad truth of it is that I have seen Top Gun probably 25 times... Maybe I should put that in the "I confess" thread. :D
The only excuse I can offer is that I mistakenly wanted to be a pilot through my teens... I got over it! :ride:
Other movies I have cried in listed in order of release (I think) and by no means complete (god I'm a nancy pants):
The Fox And The Hound
E.T.
The Boy Who Could Fly
The Neverending Story - (I hear your pain Imp)
Cinema Paradiso
Leon/The Professional
Amelie
Finding Neverland
...
Alright that is all I will admit to for now because I am embarassed enough already.

Yeah, but its okay for chicks to cry, because they're chicks.
For a guy to cry at a movie makes him a sissy. And I aint no sissy. Hang on while I punch a sray dog or something to prove my manhood.
.........
Okay, I'm back, I couldn't find a dog, so I knocked on my neighbours door, then when the nice aold lady answered and smiled at me, I smiled back and then sucker punched her!
Hehe, she went down like a sack of 'tatters and now I feel like a man again.
God, I got the biggest boner right now!! It's like up to 27.6 inches. BOoOYAR!!!

I didn't know who Goose was untill a couple of posts in. I'm really rather surprised that Top Gun isn't on the gay icon list yet.
I cried when Optimus Prime died in Transformers the Movie.
I came here to report I LAUGHED when that happen. I think I was 7. I was always wondering how the Autobots always won, because the Decepticons were better vehicles, had more weapons and acted way cooler.
Back on topic; almost any movie featuring kids can get me teary nowdays, thankyou fatherhood. It's a very strange feeling, it's not really emotional like "omg those poor kids!" it's automatic in certain scenes. So frequent, I've learned when it's about to happen and can stop it, so I'm still manly, really.....

The decepticons were always the quickest to combine into devastator, or bruticus or any other giant transformer. How could they lose?
Edit: Oh! I remember once badpauly said he came when Optimus Prime died. He worries me.

Ahem, because... They had the Touch, They Had the Power!
"You got the touch!
You got the power!"
The Autobots won because they had the Junkbots and the Dinobots. Grimlock, Sludge, Slag, Snarl and Swoop (yes I remember all their names - ive even got the toys around here somewhere) are fucking unbeatable.

Eeeee... Wrong! Only 3 characters had "the touch, the power" and they are:
- Optimus Prime as he's about to fight Megatron in the battle for Autobot city
- Hotrod as he's about to evolve into Rodimus Prime
- Dirkus Digglercon as he's trying to record his demo for a record deal.

I cried when Maverick sang.I've done that same bit to other people at random times... they cry as well.
I love 'Token' standing beside Tom Cruise in that singing bit trying to get himself a bit more screen time.
