http://forum.zgeek.com/gallery/files/9/6/5/6/chaser_thumb.jpgWell those crazy guys from the chaser are back on the ABC this year for 27 weeks, from February 17 at 9.45pm, no target will be spared in the satirical team’s new comedy show on ABC TV. The hitlist is comprehensive: John Howard, Telstra, The Pope, the Dalai Lama, Mother Theresa, Kim Beazley, Simone Warne and – most of all – those annoying people who write feeble hyperbole in TV press kits.

"Filmed in front of a studio audience, the Logie Award-winning team of both CNNNN and The Chaser Decides will be doing what they do best – confronting and lampooning key players from the world of politics, business, religion, media and culture. These signature Chaser ambushes will form the core of the new series – alongside news-of-the-week analysis, comedy sketches, and their uniquely irreverent field experiments such as:

* Can you book a dinner table in the US under the name bin Laden?
* How many times can you let your mobile phone ring during a Russell Crowe gig before he cracks it?
* And how would Virgin Blue’s wacky and humorous in-flight announcements go down if you performed them verbatim at an actual comedy club?"

It's great to see that they're finally going to be back on TV and it looks as though this one chould be better than ever

Chasing the details (http://www.chaser.com.au/content/view/2992/64/)

So be sure to tune in for it, and for those that didn't see the other works by this team CNNNN (http://www.abc.net.au/cnnnn) and The Chaser Decides (http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/)

Also Forgot to include what everyone is doin this year and a quote abotu the show by Julian Morrow
the new project is a satirical anti-variety show, even though I don’t really know what that means.

As in previous years, the Chaser team will include writer/performers Andrew Hansen, Chas
Licciardello, Craig Reucassel, Chris Taylor, Julian Morrow and Dominic Knight. Charles Firth, will be the show’s new American Correspondent.

With Firth as the US correspondent this year should be very interesting indeed.

I think Chris taylor is a total fuckwit and the worst thing to happen to JJJ afternoons, but the rest will be good.

i totaly disagree with you on that one...

that was the only thing that kept me sane every afternoon at work.

Now between Jay and the doctor, and hack, is just the same old music and more music...
and this is the exact time i am at work... 9am to 5:30pm...

looks like its back to my mp3 collection!

any particular reason to back your opinion up? or is that something you just decided? I found chris and craig to be by far the best thing on JJJ since Adam Spencer left (I can do without will anderson every morning to be honest)

Once I heard Chris and Craig was leaving I was a little dissapointed until I found they were coming back for more chaser. Did you ever catch when Chris was away and it was only Craig in the afternoons? It had no where near as much flair and style, and we all know you cant have to much flair.
