One error I had that was funny was an 500mb ide drive in an external hd case being recognised as a 2TB drive, I will see if I can dig up the screen shot somewhere.

It would have been better if it actually worked.
I think it came up with that because the drive was rooted.
there's a DUN error in windows that says the error followed by "this error should not occur under normal circumstances"

Yeh these are Windows, but both messages that I've witnessed in person many years ago.
This one happened to me ages ago. I have a feeling that it had a little more to do with a dubious version of Photoshop than anything else though.
I cut it myself and put it on the Zgeek boards a while ago because I couldnt figure out why the hell I was getting it.
As for the 2TB external hard drive screwup, windows recently told me that my PSP memory stick held 40GB (when in actuality it had 512). Some corrupted files were freaking the reader out or something, I just reformatted and everything was all happy (or sad depending on how you look at it) again.
Also to add to everything, I got an error with almost the exact same text when I screwed up importing a database with PHPmyadmin. It told me an error had occured, and the error was "There was no error". Ridiculous.
