Searching for some pics on google, I came across a pic of unit 1 fighting an angel that wasn't in the original series. After than I found pics of some huge robot type thing that is bigger than an eva and looks more mechanical.

So what's the deal? Fan art? New series? Anyone got any info on these pics.

Hmmm.... These pics have been out for a while (well at least the first one has, I had it as a wallpaper about 2 years ago) and I've not heard anything about a new series. To the best of my knowledge it's just the eps. plus the 2 movies that have been made.

It'd be nice to see some new NGE but I doubt it'll ever happen. :(

Though the description matches with the Angel from the Volcano. Such a cool series, wish there were more quality ones like that around.

I didn't realise there were games based on this, does anyone have any idea if they were any English releases or just Japan?

Games were released on the N64... and as far as I know they were never translated/ported to the US or anywhere else...

I'd forgotten about this series.... I still have the full DVD set in a shoe box somewhere with Cowboy Bebop and Nadesico....

The Neon Genesis game is on Nintendo 64. I play it on computer using the rom and a popular emulator. It's basically a robot fighting game with really frustrating controls and a bunch of mini games.

The game is available only in Japan and as a consequence, hasn't been dubbed. You can get all the details from this link:

Oh yeah there was one more Evangelion game as well. It's got little to do with actual fighting and is more like one of those wacky date RPGs. In my eyes tho I'll never see that as true Evangelion since that game doesn't embody any of the spirit.

Movis is correct. The pictures are from the games 'Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend' on PSX and Saturn and 'Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend 2nd' on PS2 (aka Girlfriend of Steel 1 and 2), a series of adventure/dating games released only in Japan that take place as a side story during the middle of the original TV series. The unfamiliar girl is Mana Kirishima, a character created solely for the first game.

I've seen every episode and the two movies. Shinji's an emo little fucker who doesn't stop crying, Asuka is a strong aggressive bitch and Rei is frigid.
