Four Swords Adventures is a sequel to original Four Swords game that came on the same cartridge as the redux of A Link to the past on GBA. You play once again as the generic hero of the series Link, who after sealing away the Wind Sorcerer Vaati in the Four Sword shrine, returns later with Hyrules' crown princess Zelda to find with horror that Vaati has escaped from his confines and to make matters worse Dark Link has retuned.

GRAPHICS
The graphics in the game are not cutting edge by any standard, as Nintendo has decided to return to the 8-bit sprites that were found within The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (circa 1993). Now to many people this just wouldn't be cool for a game in this day and age but the graphics when combined with the gameplay style make sense and make this game great for good nights fun.

SOUND & MUSIC
The entire soundtrack of the game is almost entirely the same as the redux of A Link To The Past, with all the original midi synthised tracks but with the addition of voice such as shouting, screaming and the like that has been taken from voice of child Link in The Ocarina of Time. All this makes the game extremly good for nostagia, and makes the game that much better.

MULTIPLAYER
The multiplayer aspect is where the game shines in a similar fashion to the orignal Four Swords you can play CO-OP or deathmatch style play with up to four people.

The CO-OP mode is called Hyrulean Adventure and in this mode up to four people play as a separate version of Link, with all players working together to defeat the enemies and best the puzzles. The truly interesting aspect of this mode is that all gameplay is controlled though a GBA and whenever a player enters a cave, shop, basement etc., their gameplay screen is moved to the GBA which makes it very interesting for finding items, gems and the like. Extra features have also been added including being able to steal from other players and throw them as well.

The deathmatch is called Shadow Battle and in it up to four players fight with items to determine who is the greatest link among them, and the last character with life wins.

PLAYABILITY
The game is very fun to play through a few times but does get rather easy once you've completed it once already. Also there are the usual Zelda style puzzles that when you see them will make you think "Too Easy" but there are a few in there that make it quite hard at times. And the final boss is brilliant.

PROBLEMS
The only real let down I had with the game was how easy it was at times especially on the single player mode. But other then that no real problems.

CONCLUSION
This game is great and I'd openly recommend it for anyone who likes the Zelda series and always wanted to play a multiplayer version of it, and for anyone who whats to experience the nostalgic fun.
