shaneus. no, it's not that i don't like their most popular song because it's popular. musically, it's not that good. most of the song consists of just a beat and some vocals. i really like the intro to it, that sound is awesome. and some of the live versions i've got of it are pretty cool, as are the remixes. but as it stands, the original track is not that impressive.

i liked "smells like teen spirit" because it was a fairly simple song with angsty lyrics.

"hyperballad" by bjork is one of my favourite songs as well, because i like the vocals as well as the music. it's a funky song with cool strings.

so just because i don't like my favourite bands most popular song, don't assume it's because it's popular.
