Ok, obviously I rep the correct answer. I actually don't know the answer, so don't be fucking lying ok?

I think it's John Candy playing a state trooper (then again it might not be, good start huh?)

Anyway they're chasing someone, it might be Burt Reynolds, but then again it might not. There's four of them in the car (approximately) and the boss cop's second in command is sat up front in the passenger seat. He fucks up, I can't remember what he does but the boss cop makes him sit in the back and one of the rookies takes his place. By the end of the movie the boss cop has made them all sit in the back so he's sat up front by himself.

I'm thinking Smokey and the Bandit, don't think it's Blues Brothers, or Cannonball Run, could just be an episode of Dukes Of Hazzard..

John Candy's a state trooper in Blues Brothers, I don't remember him being in Cannonball run or any ep of Dukes of Hazzard. I haven't seen Smokey and the Bandit

I know he's a state trooper in BB. That's one of the things that's confuddling me. It could just be one of the police Academys but I can't remember any state troopers in those movies. Then again it may not have been a state trooper.

It might not have John Candy in it.

Heh heh. I think it might be Up In Smoke. In which case it would be Stacey Keach, not John Candy and it he wouldn't be a state trooper and Burt Reynolds would be no where to be seen.
