Senior Network Administrator/Engineer
We are looking for an internal Senior Network Administrator/Engineer to start as soon as possible in our Sydney office.
Potential to lead the team.
We provide back-office solutions to the recruitment industry, ranging from IT, HR, Legal, Procurement, etc. Currently servicing approx 200 users, we are set for some fairly rapid growth over the next year or so.
You will be responsible for the entire network and will ensure that all services are continually available to both our own internal staff and to that of our external clients.
Duties will include:
Delivering network development, implementation and enhancements
Identifying, analysing and resolving network problems
Network Management
Technical supervision and mentoring of a small network support team
Essential skills will include:
Tertiary qualifications: Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years experience in all facets of network operations
Minimum of 4 years in a senior network administrator role
Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux based Internet
application servers & email, MS SQL Server 2000 and Windows 2000.
MS SQL Server 2005 and Windows 2003 an advantage
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies and Logon Scripting
Previous experience of implementing Windows/Linux/Cisco based LAN/WAN network for medium sized business (300 employees)
Experience on a range of network systems (4-5 years) including Cisco 7200 and Cisco 1700 series, ATM, Frame Relay and ISDN
Excellent abilities for accomplishing tasks and projects
Must be prepared to be continually on call – as there may potentially be some after hours work
Candidates must be highly proactive, self motivated and self dependent. You will possess excellent problem solving abilities and have a passion for staying on top of all aspects of network related matters.
You will also have excellent communication skills and have proven ability to develop and maintain documentation.
You will also need to have demonstrated proven management skills for getting tasks and projects completed on time and within budget without excuses.
This is a long-term permanent role, with senior management potential.
