View Full Version : Bush Impeachment?

I posted this same question in another section before I noticed this "Law" section. But I desperately need your legal counsel. Here is the gist of my boggle....
WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO PUT BUSH ON TRIAL FOR BREAKING THE FUCKING LAW!?!?!?
Are you going to tell me that Clinton was put on trial for lying about fucking an intern, but Bush is not going to be put on trial for fucking the whole country!?!
He broke the fucking law! He authorized warrantless wire taps - thousands of them! He admitted to it! That's breaking the fucking law, right??? So why was Clinton put on trial and Bush isn't?!?
I realise this is mostly an Australian forum... But surely there must be some Australian lawyers who keep tabs on things like this? ...And it can't be in the best interests of Australians to have Bush in the White House.

Being an Australian site, with a law forum presided over by Australian lawyers, your chances of finding anyone who actually gives a shit are slim to none.

Just a tip - Posting the same thing in multiple forums will not get you a better response.

Your congress is capable of impeaching elected representitives ( including the president). However there is currently a republican majority in the congress so i doubt any motion to impeach Bush would suceed. I think Andrew Johnson was the only President to get impeached.
Write a letter to Dick Durban and suggest it to him though! You might start the ball rolling?!

Right you are. I forgot impeachment had two steps. You need a subsequent conviction of the impeachment( 2nd vote) to remove from office.

No President has ever been removed from office, but two have been impeached.
Several lower government officials have been impeached before.

Where were you in the 90's? Clinton got impeached as well. No US president has been removed from office after being impeached. The House impeaches (which is the strongest censure that they can give) and the Senate removes.
Johnson wasn't removed (but barely, it came down to the wire in the Senate).
As for Bush, he will never get impeached. It would be really cool if he was. However, as I said in another post, he could snort an 8-ball of high quality columbian cocaine, have a threesome with a couple high class hookers, kill them, bury them in the backyard of the white house, piss on the graves, and call Congress over for a human BBQ and he'd stay in office.
Even if the Dems manage to get control of both houses this next election, but the time they get the balls to try to go against Bush, he'll be out of office.

Noddy... You still manage to astound me. That statement holds as much water as a chain link fence.
That's like me saying, "If a cop didn't see it, it wasn't illegal."
Are you that fucking stupid to believe the bullshit you're fed that these assholes are public civil servants? They don't fucking love this country, they love the power and money it all commands.
Please, please join the military when you do grow up and make sure the put you on the front line to ensure that you are killed first for a war that doesn't affect our country in any capacity except we want the fucking oil.
Your remains will later make for a drop or two of fossil fuels. Woot!!! Get me down to the end of the block, bitch. Represent our country, boy!

It's kind of sad, Ken Starr spent 6 years and tens of millions in taxpayer money only to find out Clinton had gotten an illicit blowjob. When Clinton was impeached over lying to congress about it, it was determined that asking the president about such matters is beyond the powers of congress. Hell the the president could have a gay man come to the White House every Friday to throw oranges at his naked ass and the congress couldn't ask him about it. Besides that the Clinton thing smelled of a set up. What girl keeps a cum stained dress in a plastic bag for six months.
Now in the case of Bush. He distorted facts, withheld information, used known bad intelligence, and generally made unsubstantiated claims to make the case for the invasion of Iraq. The White House staff and members of the cabinet, bullied, threatened, blackmailed and ordered to stay quiet any and all dissenters and detractors. This should be grounds for at least a special investigation.

Well you have to prove that happened, which is impossible because it didn't.

clinton _and_ a long line of presidents have also been 'guilty' of this, but ho wmany have been even accused, impeached, or *gasp* convicted of it? my memory is fuzzy, but i'm going to go with . .um.. none.
there were many thins clinton could have ben impeached and convited for, but was he? no. there were a lot of things regan, gb, sr, kennedy, etc all did that were pretty dirty an dshady, but the thing is, you just cant get the info on it in enough time to do anything about it. lets face it, having the attourney general and even a small following of congressmen and house reps on your side makes it pretty much impossible to get the impeachment process going, let along a conviction.
now.. how many know the difference between impeachment & conviction? raise your handsplease an dplease keep them up so I can count them. shouldn't take long, i only have n ehand fre, an dno fair looking it up in wikipedia.. but then again please feel free to and maybe gain some knoledge about the system before you try to bandy about with terms you just don't know about.
