Ok people, I am in need of your assistance. I'm currently in the first year of my uni course and very poor due to not working at all during my time in school and my current job (safeway) not giving me shifts, so i am looking for another job as extra or to replace what i have. Where i need you assistance is the ideas, so please people any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Drake can be a very good agency for casual work - I had a friend who did mostly manual work for them at factories etc (loading trucks and whatever) while at Uni, definately helped him out.

Some sort of callcentre (inbound) could be good - give you some downtime in which to study as well as having odd-hours shifts you could work in around your studies.
Market Research. All phone work. Completely demoralising and shitty work but easy as pie which you can do stoned.
Petrol Station Console Operator. I did it for three years of uni. Easy work. Completely demoralising but you can do it stoned.

Make friends with lecturers/staff from uni and look our for any research assistant roles or uni IT lab support. You can often squeeze in work around your uni schedule (and you're right on campus). Also, they have decent casual rates. If you have any web skills, push those too.

yep - consider trying to push any skills you have on campus - ok rates, same place you study - sometimes have fringe benefits

I worked at my local blockbuster at uni. Top job as they were open a lot so you could schedule yourself for max hours a week, also got lots of free stuff.

well yes you could go to your l;ocal woolies , coles etc and apply for a nightfill job , if you tell them you can work any hours apart from (you nominate) you should be right , just dont cut yourself short on sleep time as they can ask a bit too much of you at times ,
