I will be down in Melbourne between the above-mentioned dates, ostensibly to visit my family, but I would also love to catch up with all you lovely southy geeks. Most interested in shenanigans on Thursday and/or Friday of that week (25th and 26th). I'm very keen on going to robot bar since I haven't been there in aaaaages but am well open to suggestions.

I guess I am a southern geek now though I heard some whispers about some kind of initiation ritual….
I think that is the weekend I am heading to Sydney. Will keep you all informed, would daily updates be too much?

P.S I am cold

:grr:
Ok, drinks start at 7pm at Pony on Friday.
Once the crowd is dense enough we move to Robot Sushi, where we play that dice-based drinking game that fucked me up last time. From memory it fills up quickly, so we should get there as soon as we can.
At some point we should stop for food. Everyone knows my preference for that.

Cassa
18-05-2006, 12:32 PM
Mine too. NO GLUTEN. So dumplings are out buddy-o

As always, all Melbournes are invited. Even the consistently late ones. ;)

Ok, so what's the order of stuff to be doing? If we're going to be dinnering we might want to start the pony side of things a little earlier. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind trying somewhere a bit different - I hear good things about Cherry, maybe we should start there, at say 6pm?

BlueBoy
18-05-2006, 01:10 PM
Cherry sounds good.
I think dinner should be at Saigon Inn, the Vietnamese place we went to a couple of Cassa-visits ago. Good cheap food and it's got the added bonus of being BYO.

As far as the order of things goes, I suggest: Cherry, food, Robot Sushi, pass out.

Cherry is a nice place tucked into AC/DC lane. Selective bouncers after a certain tiem, but at 6//7 we should be fine.

Should I out myself??!!

OK that was a bit of an attention-whore post i admit.

I work in the city - near cnr of Queen and Bourke. Might be up for it.

Good shit the Soccoroos for spanking Greece, even if a scoreline of 1-0 is hard for this AFL follower to get excited over. (Imagine an AFL game where scores were 1,0,1 vs 0,0,0 after 90 mins - it hurts, it hurts!)
