Accommodation in Sydney

I've just started a new job in Artarmon and comuting 2 hours every day is killing me. I'm looking for a flat share on the north shore. Chatswood, Artarmon, St Leonards, Crows Nest or North Sydney.
I've been trying for a few weeks now but it's really competitive and havn't had anyluck.
