one of my friends works at the age PT as a assistand editor and get 600 a week i think she works 3 days another friend that work for a paper in brisbane got $500 an artical freelance (sorry dont know how long)

Most journos I know don't get much.

Depending who it's for it's either paid by word or by article.

in my everlong quest to find a career that i'm actually interested in, i've learned that if my first question about it is based on how much it will pay me, i probably don't have that deep an interest in it.

Well after writing that post I managed to spend a quarter of my shift at work asleep - so I'm thinking it's not so bad here after all ;)
