Any ZGeekers out there wanna office job?
It's not thrilling, but it pays $18.50/hr for pretty dull PC work. And the work environment's not too bad (I've been there 10 months, and I walk if a job bores me too much)
email me @ m.f.aurelius@gmail.com for more info

If this was in Melbourne I would be interested in a short term contract.
Note: some one should get me a short contract in Melbourne!

Some more info:
The work is rather basic, and consists of assigning work tasks to tradesmen on the PC, and then calling said tradesmen and advising them of the work. It requires nothing more than punctuality, reliability, basic PC ability (look, if you can use the net, you know how to use this program we use), and the ability to read and speak English. It's not rocket science. Hell, when I did the job, the highlight of my day was watching the trains go by the window.
It's right next to a station on the Cleveland line, so parking and public transport are alright. It's fulltime (7.30-4, M-F).
So if you are still interested at all, email me your CV at the address in my original post, and I can fwd them onto the relevant person. Don't bother with covering letters or any of that bullshit. I'm just gunna hand them to the girl who's gunna decide, and she'll ring anyone she thinks worth talking to. Which, in the current market, is pretty much anyone.

There is a helpdesk job available at my work currently http://mycareer.com.au/jobs/sydney/it-telecommunications/helpdesk-desktop-support/4130172+help+desk+support+level.aspx

It doesn't involve dealing with the general public however so it's a step above most other helldesk jobs. Plus you'd get to work with me.

Heh, since this thread is reopened, if anyone knows of a part time or casual position available which would allow me to work weekday mornings and/or weekends, please let me know. My background is in customer service, I have some history of secretarial (though that was years ago), have a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Vis Arts), and I know how to use a computer :D

North side or city locations would be preferable, with access to them by public transport.

Yup, I ask for a lot, but no harm in trying ;)

I applied for a job recently, 4 days after it was published, and they said they had already filled the position. WTF! Do they just pick the first person that comes along.
