Is this possible?
I downloaded about a hundred mobile phone games and I'd like to test them on my computer before sending the best ones to my mobile.

I thought this was going to be a thread bitching about people playing games on their mobiles. I hate it when they beep everywhere and distract me. Good luck with your quest, just please don't sit next to me and play.

I have not tried but most mobile games run on java so I would have thought that they would work on a PC. Never tried myself.

You can download J2ME development kits for "generic" devices and also often specific models or categories of phones, for example Series 60 Nokia phones.

The emulators will play java games designed for the actual models, but of course often have different bugs ;-)

You can also get C++ emulators based around the GNU tools for some of the phones -but not all, and they're much more complex to get running.

For Series 60's you can start by looking:

I actually found this thing (http://www.mpowerplayer.com/). It does the job pretty well too.
It is free, it plays the mobile game files I've got on my computer AND let's me demo games they want people to pay for. Good stuff.
