A&A is an ambitious project, a supergroup if you insist upon calling, but this is nothing like anything any of these artists have ever contributed to. Fronted by Delonge, this album is anything but a glorification of ego.

From the gradual build up from the very first song, "Valkyrie Missile", almost a six minute intro to the rest of the album, it plays on to call on the jets flying through town, destruction and fires burning, and a man swearing his love through it all in "Distraction". Through song after song, the lyrical content pores through experiences such a giving every bit of yourself, only to be knowingly lied to the entire time, wanting more all the while, to songs recognizing the emptiness and hopelessness you feel, and asking to give just a little more to find that solidarity. I could go through this entire album track by track, invoking my impression upon you, but I would encourage you to experience this album for yourself, and take from it what you feel.

This is by no means an Emo album. Yes the lyrical content is deep, but it is not that whiny heartbroken shit that our kids today are so hooked on. This album is a display of hope, passion, and optimism for our future. As a person, and even as people.

As you listen, you are going to hear strong U2 influence (the 80's U2, when they were still busy being musicians, and not trying to save the world), and in reflection, I can't help but to call on the intelligence of Pink Floyd. The passion for the music and lyrics are evident from beginning to end.

Those that live in the UK are subject to a special treat on their albums, because after all the studio tracks, they include two live songs, which I find absolutely incredible. That said, catching them live will have you privvy to experiencing to a superb performance.

I encourage you to take a risk and listen to this album. The fact that this is Tom LeLonge's project nearly put me off completely and I never would have given it a chance if someone had noyt begged me to find a prerelease copy for him. I told my friend that I was going to kick his ass if this a bitch album, and amazingly, I fell in love with it from the very first listen. Chances are you will too.

Outside of the review, now I feel compelled to share a story emphaisizing how much I dreaded this CD before hearing it.

Blink 182 was a local band in my hometown and a lot of kids were buying into the whole popcorn punk/ska shit, and me and my best friend Travis, now of Cattle Decapitation (http://www.cattledecapitation.com) were just local musicians a couple of years younger than B182 and worked at a local new and used cd store. B182 had come in with a grip of their demos on cassetes in paper sleeve printed up for a demo they were pushing.

Well, Travis and I, in our disgust for their music, did the right thing and stole them, and proceeded to recourd our demo over it, which was a bunch of ambient crap, that we were putting out under our label, Attention Deficit Records. We relabeld the cassettes, then took the paper sleeves, carelfully cut them open at the seam, flipped em inside out with the B182 artwork still intact, and reglued them to fit the cassettes again. We then created a stamp set and stamped them individually with "The FuckBlink Compilation: Copy __ of 182" and individually numbered each one.

They sold faster than the Blink182 tapes did, and all it cost us was time.

A.D.R. wound up putting out a few ambient albums in the US and Japan, nost notably one of Travis's most amazing projects ever, 5/5/2000. Good Times. Expect a review from me regarding my friends album from Cxdx, entitled "Karma. Bloody. Karma."

Here are all the album tracks in chronological order. Some videos are the bands official ones, but most are fan interpretations, and pretty well done for the most part. Enjoy.

Hmmm, I'm bored and stalking you today and since I was offline for all that time I missed this,
you know how I feel about A&A, I think they are nothing more than B182 v2 but less funny.

Same sound, repackaged and stale.
