Well the english version of starfox is out and what a disappointment!
The game itself is fantastic! A new way of commanding a battle scenario using the DS touchscreen and having to fight each encounter yourself using a different character. Very good use of the interaction facilities of the DS (execpt the MIC) while having to draw your own flight path and anticipate enemy movements.
However I feel that these pro's do not outweigh the cons.
All the buttons on the DS are used as fire. All the maneuver commands are done with strokes of the stylus and anyone that has used a DS for any length of time will know that its prone to errors. It produces the feel that you are not in total control of the ship and small slip ups (like taking the stylus off the pad at the wrong time) produces catastrophic results.
Also if your only going to buy this game to play single player then dont bother. I finished it while at work in a call center, I have about 2 -3 mins between calls in the last 2 hours of my shift. It took me two days. I was just really getting into the game when it stoped. Very Very disappointing..,... but then it had the gall to delete my save game once the credits had finished...... I could only start it all over again.
I loved the StarFox series, but unfortunatly this is one that wish I had not wasted my money on.
