I have an apple computer and two PC's. We have a wireless network using airport express.
I can only look at this network from my mac. I have a dell printer which is connected to the airport express port but only the mac can see it and print wirelessly. I can't figure out how to get network printing from the PCs.
Does anyone know how to do this? One PC has XP and the other has windows 2000.

usually there is an option for adding a network printer in the printer option of the control panel.

Can the PCs see the network at all? If so you can add the printer as a local printer, untick the "Detect USB or something or other printers automatically..", when it asks to choose the port select new Standard TCP/IP Port at the bottom, stick in the printer's IP address and Bob's your auntie's live-in lover.

I don't think I have a network. I connect directly to Airport express. All the computers do. I don't know how to create a network on a mac.
I looked at the IP idea. It sounds right - I clicked on the printer and its properties but it asks me to enter the printer's IP and a Port name.
My printer says its IP is 0.0.0.0
Is that right? I know that my airport express's IP is something like 10.0.0.1 or something like that.
Do I need to set up a network? How do I do this? How do I find out the printer's proper IP?

You need to give your printer an IP in the same range as the airport express. e.g. 10.0.0.2. All your machines also need to be in the same range and they should then see each other.
I don't know how to configure your airport express or the printer but it should be pretty straight forward.

I used this thing called "bonjour". You can download it from http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bonjour/
Hopefully I can get this to work on the windows 2000 machine.
Thanks so much for your help Misterbishi and Mr Bigglesworth (and you too, Colonel Kurtz)!
On another note, does anyone know how to enable filesharing between computers?

I've just encountered the first side-effect of Bonjour. Now my Azureus downloads have a "NAT error".
