what kind of job is a librarian? what do they actually do? what is the pay like? are they really the hawt ones under the glasses?

This site should give you a ballpark on salaries.. although they tend to be higher level professional library jobs, rather than, Primary School librarian or anything.

I've worked with law and media librarians. You have to like research, short deadlines, customer service. Often the roles include an element of training people to use your resources, including online subscription services.

My tafe teacher said "we don't choose to work in libraries for the Pay.. it is the conditions that are best" But then again .. I am only studying to be a lowly library tech at the moment

I could tell you about some of my adventures in the Alberta provicial library. Needless to say, ive known a few female librarians in my time who were alot less sexed up before i met them.

Male librarians are queers.

I worked in a local city library for a year doing shelving. The librarians have a very nice job, and the environment seemed very good.

The pay is also good.

They lie.... brary well.

That's why they are mostly women
