yet there are a lot of others who don't have signatures as small as required and aren't having theirs edited.

However, one of the imitations is still up, others with 300 lines, others one word but sized larger than 3 lines...wtf....

So if we're going to follow RULES and stay inside the lines here, *sarcasm* what's good for the goose is good for the gander!

1) limiting sigs is a good idea because when they are too large they make the page cumbersome and, in the case of some images, forever for folks on dialup to load.

2) limiting sigs from a user's perspective is a good idea because we all suffer from ADD and won't read it if it's over 3 lines long anyway

3) every user has the ability to turn off all sigs if they just go to their control panel. you can also turn off avatars and images as well.

Actually, it was 3 lines, a blank line, a "----" line, another blank, and then 2 more lines (at least 8 in total). Then it was cut down to 3 lines with two blanks between it (5 in total). All of the above is too long.

Excuse me, but how DARE you suggest that a "certain few" got tired of your sig. I saw your signature. I saw that it exceeded the limits. I deleted it because it did not comply with the rules that YOU agreed to. Don't blame anyone else - no-one had any say on it other than me, and no-one informed me of the breach.

Secondly, the instance that you reported to moderators was within the defined parameters of the rule, and therefore not changed. If you see one that is 300 words, by all means report it.

And if you think that any user in the forums sucks up to me and gets something in return, you are seriously mistaken. I'm a moderating nazi afterall. I treat everyone like shit.

There are some really funny people about, and there are some really helpful people around, and the moderators/authors/administrators are generally easily approachable. Remember that the site should be treated as if it is someon'es house. It is NOT a democracy, and you do NOT have the right to free speech. This is OUR house, and if you are annoying or abusive, you will get kicked out. If you persist, we will block your IP from the site, and you may end up blocking other innocent users.
