I got a job in Nedlands, Perth. I'd be looking for a 1-person unit most likely, between $150-$200 p/w. Near work is a plus since I won't have a car for a while.
Would appreciate the lowdown on Perth and such from any Perth zgeekers. I'm scheduled to start in Feb, thinking of flying down early-mid January to get settled.
Cheers.

If you have furniture, it is probably not worth carting it to Perth unless you already live in WA. There are stacks of furnished places to rent in town. There is a ton of rental accommodation along the rail line heading west from Subiaco and along the beaches.
I lived in Perth itself near the Glory ground. It was quiet except for soccer days. There was a church in my street, a five brothels around the corner.
If I had known more I would have gotten a place in Cottesloe before I moved there.
