I have a macpro server with 2 gigs of RAM and a 2 GHZ intel duocore 2 chip. It has 3 hard drives, all of them 500 gb. 2 of them raid 1 for the data and one of them is the system drive. I want to authenticate XP clients to the server via Kerberos and set it up as a print server as well. Anyone done this? Any advice before I screw everything up?

Read this http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/Kerberos-Authentication-Mixed-Windows-UNIX-Environment.html
By the sounds of things you do not have a domain already set up which means you do not have a KDC.
But that is my understanding of Kerberos. I could very well be wrong.

Also try http://www.macwindows.com/
I've only done this the other way around (windows server, mac client) and i have to say, its a fucking bitch.
All the guides say it should be easier windows to mac, just because mac takes into account the fact it'll have to communicate with a windows machine.

That's encouraging. Yes, I took a class on this, and they mentioned the difficulties you get the other way around. THey actually set up a 10.4 server so it could be a DC in a Active Directory environment. I didn't know Apple could do that.

I only was bagging the part where they taught me how to use an apple server as a firewall/gateway. Stupid waste of time. Who would ever do that with a $3500 piece of hardware when you can do it with a $400 one just as easily. that was $700 of training money wasted on a solution that would cost me $400. Waste of money too.
