Mac OSX running on my Dell XPS 1210 laptop. All drivers are in and working except for the built-in camera and the wireless. I'm surprised how fast and snappy it is. Triple booting it with Vista and Ubuntu makes my laptop a very fun toy :)

yeah, it's all the new rage. google://osx86
http://www.insanelymac.com/ ( has pretty much all the info needed ). just need to torrent a specific OSX install disk.
It can be hit and miss with various drivers though, but people seem to be figuring them out.

My old housemate (who introduced me to apples) built a desktop to run osx on.
it worked pretty good.
That was when they first announced that the os 10.4 would work on intel based macs.

That is pretty cool. I figured people would do this sooner or later. The nice thing is you have one of the few apple laptops that has a right click button!
For cool things to use you laptop for:
iphoto is a great way to organize your pictures, and imovieHD is a cool way to make your own movies. Garageband is a halfway-decent and easy way to make your own music or edit audio. None of those programs (except iphoto) is a professional-level program, but they are VERY easy to use and quite nice. Iphoto easily makes very nice slideshows.
