NowWhereRoute (http://www.nowwhereroute.com/tourismvic/RoutePlanner/default.aspx) is a nifty little site that will let you put in your start & finish points and a number of waypoints along the route and generate a map with directions... as well as a total distance covered (and the time it would take you to drive it). It's meant for planning road trips, but I think it doubles nicely as a running tool.

Here's the course for this Saturday's long run:

Although what the map doesn't show is that the southern half goes straight up and over this:

It's 13.49km but I think I'm looking at about 2 hours all up.

You like pain don't you. Should be a nice surroundings for a run though

Should be good if the weather is fine... it snowed on Donna Buang the other week. I think I'll be cooling my legs down in the river afterwards which should confuse the tourists nicely.

I prefer this site: http://www.mapmyrun.com/

It lets you "draw" out a path in real time. It also tells you how long the route is. Now I just need to figure out how to change it to kilometers instead of miles.

EDIT: found it.

And here she is on mapmyrun:

Plotted a bit more accurately the total distance comes out at just a whisker under 15k.... I like the elevation plot too.

Yeah, the elevation stuff is really neat.

oh, wow awesome.

This is my walking path
it takes me 14-16 minutes each time... When I start to find this less painful I will increase the time.

That mapmyrun site is sweet.

This is my regular lunch time run:

Edit: I accidentally missed the Cahill Expressway with the run down (I'll fix it later), but I did find it hard to trace a line back over my steps on the site. Have to zoom in more.
