I've had difficulty getting of the mailing list of Zuji.com.

There are a dodgy web based travel service. I have tried unsubscribing 5 times now and i've even sent a couple of carefully worded emails to their customer service department.

I'm pretty sure that under Australian law they have to take me off their list if I request them to do so.

My query is: who do I report them to so I can get my name of this list? Is there a specific government department?

From the whois database @ register.com:

Email: legal_dept@zuji.com

There is absolutely no point in reporting them to an Australian government department.

The Spam Act still applies to them regardless of where they're based, although obviously the ACMA's ability to enforce the Act is pretty limited where a foreign person/corporation is involved.

The Act requires them to have a 'functional unsubscribe' facility, which they clearly don't.

See http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD//pc=PC_1970 for more info (including a link to report spam to them).

Given that they have a presence in Australia (zuji.com.au is registered to an Australian subsidiary), it *might* be possible for the ACMA to do something about it
