As a part of making myself get out there and bloody RUN more than once a week, I have started a log of my training on my blog.

Currently it only has 2 entries because it's only been 2 weeks since I started training. So far I've had 4 training sessions. Ah well. Hopefully I'll be better this week...

awesome. this really has helped me a lot. sometimes when you are putting in the miles every day you don't get a sense of how much you have accomplished. looking back over a diary/blog really helps keep things in perspective. it also tends to keep you on track since those empty days when you haven't made any entries are there for the world to see.

also, if anyone else would like to start a running blog you can do so over at coolrunnings australia (http://www.coolrunning.com.au/forums/index.php?automodule=blog). they have a nifty format designed for it. remember, these aren't emo navelgazing opportunities, it's a place to store records of your workout where other runners can contribute to the process.

i've been nothing but impressed with the coolrunning forums (http://www.coolrunning.com.au/index.shtml) and, if you are serious about running, i'd strongly urge getting involved over there - and starting a running blog is a great way to do so.
