Hi,

I recently got a new JasJam. Before this I had a Palm Treo. Using software called companion link, I have managed to transfer all my information from palm desktop into Outlook, however, when i sync outlook and my JasJam, nothing gets transferred over.

But if I create a new date in my outlook, then it gets transferred into my phone.

Does anyone know how to transfer my whole diary and contacts into the phone?

Cheers

Can you post a bit more info:

Which version of Outlook are you syncing with
Are you syncing with a desktop or to an Exchange server?
Which version of Activesync are you using?
Do you have any anti-virus apps, particularly ones that incorporate a firewall?

I have a few ideas on possible causes:

In order to save space on the JasJam Activesync will only sync the calendar info based upon the date range setting - I believe the default setting is 2 weeks into the future and 3 days in the past. This might explain why only newly created items are going across.

When you brought across the items from the Trio, did you put all the items in the default places in Outlook? (Appointments in Calendar, Contacts in Contacts) or did you put them into a seperate folder tree, or a different personal folder altogether? By Default Activesync will only sync items in the default directories - you have to tell it to use alternative locations manually.

Another possibility is that the items are not brought across in a standard format. I have had a similar problem with an import from a palm-based mobile device where contacts and appointments were actully imported to Outlook as messages. Even though Outlook will act on them as though they were a calendar item, they are still processed by Activesync as though it was a message.

I'll keep thinking and see what else I can come up with.

I decided to redo everything, since my palm diary was a complete mess in the end...now it's all neat again, and even got it to sync to lotus calendar first time.

More importantly, anyone got some good pocket pc games or apps?
