Took the hound for a stroll this morning, and aside from a dusting of snow on some of the trees at higher altitudes, everything looked like it should be perfect for a run later in the day.
However, it started pissing down while I was still doing my chores and I ended up heading out in the pouring rain. Felt pretty damn good though... I had the track to myself aside from two rainjacketed cyclists who found me most amusing and were promptly told to get some real fucking exercise.
Thoroughly enjoyed myself, sang along to some Plastic Bertrand as I zoomed along feeling very primal in a man vs nature kind of way. Got home absolutely sopping wet, told I was "fucking mad" and promptly hit the shower to warm up.
No sign of any sort of leg niggle, 8k all up, 45 min.
