Felt like six shades of shit this morning for some reason. Didn't eat very well last night... home made sausage rolls are delicious, but not the best thing the night before a long run. Pushed through all that and managed a fairly respectable time (just under an hour and a half) over 15km.

I realised I should have been addressing my blister as Mrs Blister rather than Mr Blister... I thought she was just getting fat, but it turns out she had a baby (visible further up the foot). Fucking thing is bigger than a 50c coin now.

dude, you gotta get that taken care of. there is clearly something wrong with the shoe that's causing it. try different lacing or something.

Lacing shouldn't be causing it... that's the instep we're looking at. They're a two-month old pair of reeboks - exactly the same as my last pair. I think it was worn out socks that caused the initial blister... and now it's just a matter of waiting for it to go away.

... or eat my entire foot.

lacing can have a big effect on how the shoe holds to your foot - not just at the top of the foot either. you might want to just experiment with a different pattern and see if it helps.

but if you get the red streaks running up the foot. get to a doctor pronto.

I'll give a few a whirl... I think I have that dude's page who is obsessed with lacing techniques bookmarked around here... and I think there were some links on coolrunnings as well.

Aye..... major infection getting into the bloodstream is not what I want. That's why I haven't popped it... as long as it's floating in lymphatic fluid it's sterile.
