I have a video Ipod 60gig, when you set the maximum volume limit it asks you to create a PIN, I have found out that the max volume limit I set on mine is drowned out by a bus engine but I have forgotten the PIN, is there any way to reset the PIN &/or reset the volume limit without the PIN?

1. take hammer
2. reset ipod forcefully
3. return for replacement / refund.
4. profit?

Sorry, apple free environment :D
Surely there's enough trend heads here to help. Or maybe they're too busy masturbating over the iPhone. :wank:
There must be an iPod forum somewhere you can look up the answer to your dilemma.

There was an iPod forum I came across but it wouldn't load.
I only got the iPod because my Telefunken died(it was never really alive in the first place) & I was in the market for a 20gig+ mp4 player & the iPod was the only one around at the time.

thats weird about the top volume, by 60gig video ipod doesnt have that.
the default pin i believe is 0000.
to reset the pin if you've changed it, i think all you can do is restore the ipod.. so loose everything.
my mum recently with her ipod accidentally, set a new pin code, then activated it. Had to plug it into the computer the ipod was set up on to unlock the damn thing.

Gimmick really, in the guise of being a security feature, the supposed purpose being that if you set the PIN on everything then someone who nicks it can't use it.
I don't know why I even set a volume limit in the first place but that's one thing you can't do without tit putting a PIN on it.

and yet you can get around it anyway. awesome. awesomely stupid like any security feature ever created; that is either useless, or fucks you off forever

Only with a computer having software of the same serial number.
All fixed now.
