I bought a pretty decent wireless combo the other day, with a recharging dock for the mouse. Cost me $35. No idea on battery life for the keyboard yet, but as long as I stick the mouse in the dock every night, no dramas as far as that goes.

It seems like they last a good while:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=AE61D4FA&nplm=M9270LL/A

The second to last review on the front page says they are still using it after 2 months.

I kind of prefer the wired one though, mainly for the extra USB ports you get. Plus I don't like the idea of having batteries run out when you're in the middle of something.

I'm not so sure about the reviews of the so called unergonomic design. I've had no real issues.

I was looking at the Apple wireless mouse for my MacBook, but around $90 It was just too expensive, I ended up going with the Logitech V450 and haven't looked back, its a great mouse and the advertised battery life is 1 year on 2 AA batteries.

I would recommend it to anyone wanting a wireless mouse.

EDIT: The Australian logitech web page says the RRP is approx $90 but I got mine from JB Hi-Fi for less than $60, It pays to shop around

I got the logitech MX3100 combo a while back. Keyboard batteries lasted me well over a year before I started to notice problems while gaming. Rechargable mouse only lasts a few days if you don't switch it off or leave it in the charger. Less if you spend a solid 24 hours playing RTS games

I know it's not Mac experience, but I have 4 logitech mice (mx1000 * 2, mx revolution, vx revolution) and they're all brilliant.

(I have 4 because I have a 2 * work pc's + 2 * laptops)

The apple mice are bluetooth only, not wireless... thats the reason for the higher price tag

I don't like the shape of the mighty mouse, but I'm really liking the look of the new mac keyboard, its the same style as my macbook keyboard which is a pleasure to type on.

I have the new keyboard and it is freaking awesome. I got the USB one because I wanted the extra ports and the numeric keypad and I kind of don't like the idea of a wireless keyboard but that's just me.
