My cold is doing a pretty good job of that right at the moment.
But assuming it clears up... this weekend I'm looking to run a 10k and a 15k. Keep it at or about 7 - 10k per day for the week. Probably take next Saturday off, then a slow & steady half-marathon on the Sunday (9th sept). From there I'll just be keeping it pretty light. 5k runs mixed in with more hydrotherapy sessions just to keep everything feeling nice and limber.
I'm flying up to Sydney on the 20th (Thurs). I'll try to get out and scope out some of the course prior to the 23rd.

we might want to start coordinating things, then. i'm gonna need a course preview and i assume benwah will as well.
colds, from what i've read, are typical for marathoners heading into the race. most often they tend to strike - like yours - when mileage peaks and your immune system has been pushed to the brink.

3 X 10KM runs in the week, 1 X 20-22K run next weekend, then the same and then in the final week 2 X 10K runs early in the week and maybe a bit of a lite 5K a few days out. lots of rest, lots of good food (Veg and Whole grains) and a whole heap of visualisation.

as i said in the long run thread, you'll probably be better off not doing a crazy long run next week.
