Mate of mine gave me his old Nokia E65. It's locked to Vodafone - he was on a plan, I'm on a prepaid cap. The phone is not on the lost or stolen registry.
When I have his SIM in it, it tells me "SIM registration failed". When I put my SIM in it it tells me "invalid SIM". I've called Vodafone who tell me that it should work regardless of the fact that one SIM was post-paid, one pre-paid.
So my question is - what can I do to make it work with my SIM? Could it be a handset issue? If I get time I'll take it to a Vodafone store today, but being so close to Christmas, I thought I'd try here first.
