If you don't find a flatmate with furniture for your lounge room, why don't you check this site out freecycle Sydney central (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freecycle_sydneycentral/?v=1&t=search&ch=web&pub=groups&sec=group&slk=1). I've scored some excellent things off the Adelaide freecycle, dining room buffet, kitchen pantry cupboard, books, video's, kids toys, mostly great stuff. I've also given away heaps of stuff I considered crap. A friend of mine got a great lounge suite and television cabinet.

I looked at gumtree and was considering putting up an ad there but it seems so disorganised. I can't even discern which section I should put it in because it seems people have doubled/tripled up their ads in different sections and are not completely relevant to the section.
