It is "Granite City". It was named for granite ware, which was the primary industry when the town was incorporated.

It can also be a depressing cesspool to any normal human being.

Granite City is in Illinois about 15 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri. It also bears a distinct likeness to the dark recesses of HELL!!

Bunch of gomers. Bitching and whining (side note - notice "whinging" on the site - is that the same thing as whining?) about hometowns. My old man is part of the RCMfuzz (rcmp). He's a cop, and blow your arse, have we been moved around alot. I managed to go to high school all in one town - 800 people. There were 270 kids in my school, it being a kindergarten to grade 12 at that. Graduated with 26 people. And we STILL found things to do.
No hometown can really be all that bad as long as you are willing to expend the personal effort to find things to do. Granted, in my case, we became a bunch of underage alchoholics. The POINT is that we looked for something to do. Don't bitch about your hometown unless the pop is under two hundred people.
if you're from the states, I don't think they make towns that small south of Alaska, so quitcherbitchin!
heh...i'm still drunk right now, so don't take me seriously. Fun shit to write, though.
