Attention all ZGeekers.
We have been challenged. Our geekhood is at stake! Though, considering the activity I don't know whether we should be aiming to win or lose, as the bigger geeks would be on the losing side. But I'm straying from the point.
We have been challenged by the good people of CLGA to a round of Paintball. It is requested we get 15-20 people together for a team. The proposed date so far is Saturday 23rd of August. That gives us 2 months to get our shit together and save the required money.
So, who's in?

I still have the bruises from LAST year's Paintball outing - even if I was there, in NO WAY would I be coming along!!!

if this event was to be held on a sunday , i would be a definate as well. the problem is i start work on saturday at 1pm. i know the chance of my boss giving me the night off is zero, as sat is our bussiest night!

Well, if there's no complaints from those on either side about a Sunday match, I'm sure we can accomodate. No bookings are made yet, that date is only tentative.

The Colonel reports with great sadness that there is no Hercules transport plane available to bring him and his Melbourne A-Team with him.

I offer my tentative support to the cause also (the date will be all-important)...Saturdays or sundays are no problem for me work-wise, but I is generally doing stuff on weekends (and people keep organising well in advance, dammit)...

Wikkid...So have we discussed a date yet??...Or do we have to send an "official" challenge to the clga folks, written in 1337 5p34k and referring to them all as 0wn3d n00b5 or something??...
But I'm still in depending on the date...
...Now where is that camouflage dress??... :p

Canberra has a few fields and is easy to get to for a weekend from all angles. Though, from London it is a problem!

We did not get the numbers for our challenge to be accepted. They wanted 20+, so I lowered the numbers in my post in an attempt to talk them into it.
We had 13 willing, some of those being maybes.
We can organise a zgeek paintball day for some other time (hopefully in slightly warmer weather). But this challenge failed, unfortunately.
