As someone who, for want of a better word, suffers from this condition, it is very much real. Having a partner who also has the condition can lead to some interesting moments in the wee hours of the morning.

It does take a bit of getting used to though, and you still find yourself waking up in a situation where your body is on the job, and your mind is still trying to work out which way is up, what time it is, and where the hell am I? Oh, and what am I doing to this person, whoever they are.
