Final Fantasy X (WARNING: Spoilers!)

Not that anyone here besides me seems to have played it, but anyway...

I finished it for the first time last week. Now, finally I know what the relationship is between Spira and Zanarkand (well, Tidus' Zanarkand, anyway), but what I'm still trying to figure out is...

How did Sin get to Tidus' Zanarkand in the first place?

and

How did Tidus know Auron in the opening sequence?

I mean, if the Zanarkand that Tidus and Jecht come from is a dream world, then that means that Jecht was given form in Spira, turned into Sin, then travelled back to Zanarkand to get Tidus, who was then given form in Spira. But, Jecht only met Auron in Spira! So how does Tidus know about him?

Anyone who can lessen my confusion will be heaped with praise and adulation.

I'd like to help but it was this time last year when I played an finished it... had to do it in a hurry as I was going away and it was my friends game....

I know there was an explanation... at least I think there was....

Tidus and Auron were from the "past" or some seperate reality.

Jecht was friends with Auron, appointed Auron to look after Tidus in the case of Jecht's death, or whatnot. Jecht became Sin. Auron Sticks around as a spirit. Remember that he shows up at the same time Sin does in Tidus' Zanarkand. Then they both travel to the other Zanarkand with Sin. Blah. Everyone plays Blitzball and becomes happy.

Then the whole story goes crazy. I still trying to figure it out. Almost beat it, then went to play Kingdom Hearts.

Im just up to the last boss now, well last couple of boss's.

From what i took from it thoughout the game, i assumed that Auron was sent back before Sin and somehow Tidus must have met him somewhere and befriended him, probably sometime soon after Jecht went missing. That way he knows who he is, but doesnt know that he is being protected by Auron. He's just biding his time till Sin comes.

And Auron is a cool mo-fo, i want to buy clothes like his so i can walk around the streets with a big arse sword and my hand out the front of the jacket.

When playing all of the FF games i usually go through the game the first time without gaining as much as i could in the stats department, I read a walkthrough and found that some of the boss's to be a fuckload easier than what they reckon them to be.


At the moment, i've got Tidus on

Strength - 58
Agility - 42
Defence - 34
Luck - 22
Magic - 5
Evasion - 33
Magic Def - 8
Acc - 29

I usually go the way of brute force, i go to the end of Tidus lengthy string of sphere nodes rather quickly, and using the friend sphere, am now going backwards from where Auron got up to.

My main party that i use would be Tidus, Auron Lulu and Yuna, i dont think that the other party members that i use are quite up to scratch, but i am doing pretty well up to know i think.

Bahamut fucken rules, i think that his Overdrive does over 30k damage each time, but i want more!!! I went back to the Mihen area and there are heaps of [iss easy battles, it gets tiring doing them all the time, but you always get an overdrive kill usually 1 hit 1 kill, so i grabbed a fuckload of power and speed spheres, just what i need to poer up my aeons strength.

What's the best place to get items to get the Stoneproof ability on it so i can go and get Anima, i got all the normal aeons except him (that i can recall)

I wanna get the Dark aeons though, fuck they do some damage!

I havent had this much fun since FF7 :D

I finished work at 12 got home at 12:30 and have been playing since. I really should go to bed, damn you work!

I have decided that i should max out my stats as far as i can before i get annoyed with the repetition, but as i have been through it with ff7,8,9 i think i'll stick to it for a lot longer :D

Heh tis cool, i actually went about getting Anima by using Rikku's mix on two Doors To Tomorrow which makes all your characters hit for 9999, so i did that and luckily beat Geosagano to get through to the Door to the Fayth.

Anly problem is that i haven't found one of the Destruction Spheres in the other Cavern of the Fayths, so i can't light the statues up to get him. :(

Its the top left statue that wont light, any idea which one this could be??? The colours that i have lit at the moment are white, yellow, blue, red and pink, i think that it could be Valefor's DS that i havent found yet. Just too lazy to go back!

Have you tried to fight the Dark Aeons yet? i reckon you'd have to have max stats for all to even come close to beating them.

Well i had a go at the Omega Dungeon Sidequest to get Khimaris Nova Ability. I found Omega to be somewhat of a letdown in just how plain easy he was. Sure he had a bucketload of HP but i would have liked the battle to be a little easier. Very Predictable attacks, certainly not as powerful as it should be/looks. But nevertheless i dound it slightly fun to battle, cause it looks so damn cool.

Not having max Stats for everyone, i found that using Rikkus Mix command to be somewhat extremley helpful, like 2x Door to tomorrow, to give Trio of 9999, certainly helps when you don't hit for 9999 (or even close to that in yuna's sake, whoa go the 49 hp i'll get you yet omega!) 2x Designer Wallet for Miracle Drink, allowing Auron to hit with his Ultimate Weapon for around 50000 per hit, and the potion in R's Use command to get double HP for everyone. Have Tidus cast Hastega (of could with 1MP weapon equiped, Auron and Tidus having the Quick Hit ability) and watch Omega's HP go straight down.)

Easy as Pi.

I should write my own walkthrough, but im too much of a lazy fuck to do it :D Those guys are crazy!!

I've played this game for like 110 hours. It was like a year ago so I've forgotten most of it. Did you know that in the australian/international version they included the "dark" aeons for you to destroy once you've gotten to a certain point. I forgot to get something and had to go fight dark bahamut to get it. Not pretty. Just use that sword aeon and pay him heaps and he'll kill anyone (you just need to be at a high level).

PS, the end of the game is a piece of piss compared to the dark aeons.

I find it extremeley annoying that you can kill the last boss in 2 moves.

And the dark aeons are fuggen hard

Easy enough to do -- mine does 67k most of the time. There's no need to raise his stats or abilities since most of the time you only need a couple of punches to KO the enemy.

Man my Bahumut is sucky, i never leveled my summons much, my tidus is the tank of the party, i have him doing 52K per hit, then shit loads more for his critical hits, its damn cool watching him lay the smack down on creatures.

Reallllllllly, hmmmm, that mod chip for my ps2 is lookin pretty hot. I'm coming home in november for a couple of weeks......maybe I'll pick up a copy. What the hell happened to ffXI!? Is it ever coming out? I thought they were beta testing it now. I want it damnit
