My company recently opened an office In Tokyo, and we're looking for a sysadmin. We need someone with solid Windows and Exchange skills, and Linux and networking experience would be a big bonus.

We've been looking for a while and haven't found the ideal candidate yet, so I thought that I would ask the good people at ZGeek if anyone here was interested or knew someone who might be.

We're not looking to relocate anybody, so you must be in Tokyo (with the right to work there) and speak/write Japanese and English fluently.

I know someone whose company is starting to look for a CIO. They're a *rapidly* growing software development company specialising in seriously high-end business intelligence software.

They're looking for someone who's "been there, done that" before. This is NOT a position for someone looking to try their hand at it, they want proven experience. The company is currently projecting something like 25% YoY growth in staff and greater for hardware, sustained over the next 3 years at least. I am the hiring person. Securiton is based in the Rialto building Melbourne CBD.

Knowledge of installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting Network Infrastructure. (CCNA & CCNP atleast) Dealing with Vlanning, IP sec, spanning tree, HSRP, QOS, CISCO ASA & PIX firewall knowledge, good knowledge of BGP routing protocol & all the other normal stuff.

Understanding of VOIP would be good for the near future.

I am bringing enterprise ideas to SecurITon & for first major project will be a full VMware setup build. We have our own data centre & will be expanding a fair bit even with the current markets.

The totally ideal person would also have some systems knowledge (Wintel, virtual etc)

I've tried every outlet i can think of for a job and so this is next.

I'm looking for IT work, anything from desktop support, system administration or even network design/maintenance roles.

I've always been successful as a contractor due to the fact that i under cut most of my competitors, this was because I wasn't necessarily as qualified as them and could get the job and do it for less. Now it seems you can hire a CCIE for 40 bucks an hour (which is truly insane) i'm not even getting looked at.

I'm looking for someone to just give me a go, i have 10 years of experience and I'm not afraid to blow my own trumpet and say I'm good at what I do because I am.

Recently i was offered a job as a network specialist with a Qld Govt. Dept. which i won't name, but then the election caused some uncertainty and so the whole thing was put on "hold", so i have a job but don't know when I'll start, meanwhile I'd turned down another job. oh the pain. :boohoo:

Anyway, enough rambling, i need a job, someone will hopefully be able to help.
