It's the smart thing, now once they export this, they need to invest in renewable technology to also export.

Yep I'm all for that. But why not also invest in Nuclear power here? It makes sense. If we could get nuclear power up and running, get carbon credits for exporting uranium AND develop cutting edge renewable power....we'd be rolling in the cash thanks to carbon credits.

Yeah I'm pro nuclear. I think it's the whole thing, to aim to never open another coal power plant and go from there, fill more power needs with something like nuclear or renewables when it's practical, then work the way back to replacing the existing infrastructure.

Carbon trading sucks big hairy donkey balls. It's just a way for the developed world to carry on as they are, polluting the fuck out of the world, and at the same time traders in the developed world make money out of doing it. Capitalism at it's worst.

Australia should go for nuclear power.

Don't sell uranium to countries that are not signatories to the NPT.

It is only a bridge for less than a century until we can find another low-carbon baseload replacement - uranium is a rare-earth metal for a reason.

And I ALMOST struck out Chernobyl too. Modern, Western reactors don't work the same way.

Bring on Fusion. If they put the same money into it as they do into all these little wars we keep having it would be a reality by now.
