Google launches the Nexus 7 in Australia
Google has opened up new fronts in its contest with Apple and Amazon, launching a tablet to challenge the iPad and a social streaming device to stake a foothold in the living room.
The new 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet will go on sale in Australia and three other countries from today from $249, with a promised delivery date of mid-July.
The tablet will come in two versions, an 8GB model and a 16GB model. It sports a quad core processor, an HD display, an eight-hour battery life, a front facing camera and weights 340 grams. The 16GB model will cost $299 in Australia and $US249 in the US.
