Here we Joh again?
After promising not to sack a single government employee prior to March’s election, Premier Campbell Newman has recently canned 14,000 government jobs after claiming the state budget could not afford them. His story would be a whole lot more believable if this didn’t just happen.
“Ben Gommers, whose mother is Arts Minister Ros Bates, was made a departmental liaison officer on a pay packet of up to $103,000 after the LNP’s election win in March.”
“The 25 year-old’s previous jobs included a stint in his mother’s lobbying business and as a salesman for Toys R Us.”
For some reason this brings to mind Queensland’s last long term conservative Premier, the incredibly corrupt Joh Bjelke Petersen.
